Photography Tutorial using four lights with the Canon Rebel XTI

 

 

Advanced Photography 8 Light Set Up

1)Printed background image. Used for pixel consistancy and replace by the original image in Photoshop.
2)Two SLS3200 lights at 45° to the background to provide illumination.
3)Hair light with turquoise gell. The hair light must be the colour that you will finally make the background.
4)Polyboards to stop the background lights causing flare. Polyboards are sheets of polystyrene usually painted white on one side or black on the other but can also be a combination of colours.
5)Nikon SB-900 Speedlight with softbox acting as a clip light.
6)SLS Strobe on a boom providing fill from above the models head.
7)Nikon SB-900 Speedlight acting as fill and adding specular highlights.
8)Large Octobox with Bowens 750 DX pro mono light acting as key light.
9)Nikon SB-900 with softbox below model acting as fill light.
10)Row of wooden boxes simulation the wall she is standing on.
